Yeah I ran into this problem too since I have a SATA/IDE mix of drives on my system. I should've remembered to temporarily unplug my IDE drive when I installed Vista since I used to get the same problem with Windows XP. I assumed MS would've fixed this annoyance in Vista but probably just say it's designed that way due to the fact/manner in which drive letters are assigned in the system depending on if it's primary/secondary,etc.

How about performance? Notice anything different? Any what about system specs? Just curious because my next computer will have Vista.

The answer to your question yes, Blender can run on Vista. I'm running Blender on Vista and it works fine. I've also started building Blender using the Vista software development kit so those builds should be even more ready for Vista.

I was wondering, does Blender run on windows Vista? I have only seen that it runs on XP and before.. If so, are they planning to get it to Vista soon?
Thanks for all the tutorials, they really do help, and keep up the great work.
